PRESS RELEASE
The Philippine Army Officer Candidate School's OCC "ARAMSIDLAK" Class 60-2024 marked a significant milestone by celebrating their journey through the traditional Ring Hop Ceremony graced by Maj. Gen. Luis Rex D Bergante PA, Commander, TRADOC.
Maj. Gen. Bergante, with his broad knowledge and experience in the armed forces, has instilled valuable knowledge in the graduating class of OCC "ARAMSIDLAK" 60-2024. He highlighted that a leader can effectively lead his men by taking real actions. He has given a challenge to the members of the class, "as you leave the halls of the OCS, you must inculcate in the ideals and standards of effective leadership; that you should lead not through words but through actions."
The Ring Hop ceremony is a potent symbol of the Officer Candidates' dedication to military traditions. It is a moment of personal and collective achievement, as each Officer Candidate is publicly recognized for their dedication, endurance, and sacrifices. It marks their transition from trainees to official members of the corps of officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The class ring is more than just jewelry; it symbolizes the weight of obligations that they will soon face as they begin a new chapter of their lives. The ring also represents the Officer Candidates' eternal pursuit of excellence. It is a profound manifestation of the rites of passage that encapsulated their union with the OCS and the Philippine Army.
