CAMP O’DONNELL. The Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army convenes the 1st Training Cycle of the PA Education and Training Program CY 2022 with the Vice Commander, Philippine Army, Major General Henry M Doyaoen, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker in a simple ceremony held on 24 January 2022. In attendance are 2,604 students of 68 career and 3 specialization courses at 16 PA training areas nationwide.

In his message, Major General Doyaoen challenged the students to be “eager to learn and commit themselves” to their trainers, instructors, and members of the training directorates. He added, “I would like to take this time and opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to our trainers and mentors here in TRADOC who dedicate their time to improving themselves just to teach our young generation of soldiers. And so, I know that every instructor in this institution is knowledgeable, a master of their own craft, one who lays down the foundation of their respective courses to ensure that the learnings are based on doctrines, lessons learned, best practices, and anticipated worst-case scenarios preventing them from committing blunders in their time in the service.”

As the day marks the first official visit of the Vice Commander, PA, Major General Doyaoen was welcomed by Commander, TRADOC, Major General Peter Angelo L Ramos. An information briefing was presented followed by a tour of facilities to apprise the VCPA on the operational activities and initiatives of the Command to accomplish its mission. The day was capped with the ribbon cutting and blessing of the newly completed LED Wall Project.

Strict observation of IATF anti-COVID19 protocols were implemented during the entire activity.
