Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac – The Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Philippine Army commemorates today its 70th Founding Anniversary with the theme: “Excellent and Dynamic Training for a Stronger Army”. For 70 years, TRADOC has been the bastion of concept-based, doctrine-driven education and training activities and programs geared towards the professionalization of the Army.
          TRADOC triumphs and continues the conduct of training amidst the COVID19. It’s personnel remains dynamic and resilient by adapting to the new normal through the creation of systems, techniques, and procedures used to prevent the unfavorable impact of the disease on the students and faculty of the Command. Indeed, TRADOC lives up with its mantra as the “Source of Army Standards”.
          TRADOC Commander, Major General Peter Angelo L Ramos, thanked all the members of the Command for their contributions that made TRADOC the Army’s premier military training institution and a source of national pride. “Pangkat TRADOC shall be the prime developer of new knowledge relevant to the Army soldier; a builder of useful platforms for research and development; and the provider of quality training to benefit the Philippine Army. And with that, we shall continue to pursue better ways to enhance education and training.” MGEN Ramos stressed.
          In his message, the Chief of Staff, AFP, Lieutenant General Andres C Centino, commends the leadership of Major General Ramos in bringing TRADOC to greater heights. “With all these initiatives, there is no doubt that the AFP can indeed rely on Pangkat TRADOC to produce the most seasoned and capable personnel for the Philippine Army”  General Centino said. “To the Commander, staff, Center Directors, School Commandants, and the Training Group Commanders, your committed leadership and motivational mentorship can certainly empower all members of Pangkat TRADOC to always do their best and to deliver only the best in every task entrusted to them” he added.
          In the ceremony, Captain Gilbert L Facunla of the Doctrine and Capability Integration Center was awarded a Command Plaque for being adjudged as the Officer of the Year; while Staff Sergeant Esmundo S Rebueno of the Military Police Company, HHSBn was adjudged as the Enlisted Personnel of the Year. On the other hand, Lieutenant Colonel John Jotham G Repollo of Sustainment Center was the Best Instructor of the Year (Officer Category) and Technical Sergeant Edgar B Depalog of the Officer Candidate School was the Best Instructor (Enlisted Personnel Category).
          The activities leading to this day include a 70kms Virtual Fun Run, Tree Planting/Growing, Pangkat Litratista II, Pangkat Guro: a pre-recorded lecture (PRL) making contest, 30kms Fun Bike, Fun Games, BrainTalk@TRADOC, and other supporting events.
          Strict observation of IATF anti-COVID19 protocols were implemented in the entire activity.
