Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac – All female Candidate Soldier Course Class 702-2021 composed of 169 individuals, took their oath and started training in an opening and traditional reception ceremony held at Macabulos Grandstand, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army on December 10, 2021.
          The new trainee will undergo the rigorous Basic Military Training at the School for Candidate Soldier, Initial Military Training Center, of this command, where they will be taught the basic foundations of soldiery and instilled with the Army’s core values as defenders of the nation.
          This batch of trainees are from the units 2ID, 3ID, 5ID, 7ID, 8ID, and 9ID, PA. Their training will consist of 16 weeks of intensive military training preparation in four modules, Transformation, Warfighting, Combat Fitness, and Military Wellness.
          Colonel Warlito A Limet, Commandant, SCS, IMTC (P), TRADOC, PA, during the opening stated. “This day marks the beginning of your four (4) months training basically you will introduce to the art of soldiery, you will be trained how to shoot, march, salute, and communicate, you will be taught with the rudiments of military profession every day.”
          Colonel Nilo P Vinluan, Commander, IMTC (P), TRADOC, PA, the keynote speaker during the opening program, motivated the new batch of candidate soldiers to endure the regimented way of training and fulfill their dreams of serving our beloved country. “Hindi na lingid sa ating lahat ang kahalagahan ng training, maging ang mga pribadong sektor at establisyemento ay sinisigurong mayroong tamang kaalaman at kakayahan ang mga kawani. Gayundin sa Philippine Army, sinisiguro nating may kakayahan, kaalaman at magagandang katangian ang bawat miyembro. Isa sa mga paraan sa pagtamo ay ang pagkakaroon ng maayos na training – sa aspetong pisikal, mental at emosyonal. Bilang pangwakas, hinihimok ko ang bawat isa na magkaroon ng positibong pagtugon sa anumang hamon ng buhay, kayo ay magiging mas malakas at matatag, pagkalipas ng bawat pagsubok na inyong malalagpasan.” Col Vinluan added.
          Strict observation of IATF covid protocols was implemented during the entire activity.
