Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac – The Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army conducts Blood Donation Activity with the theme “Sagip Dugtong Buhay” in partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation in connection with the 126th Philippine Army Founding Anniversary held at Dalubhasa Hall, Headquarters TRADOC, Capas, Tarlac on 29 March 2023.The Blood Donation Activity yielded a total of 240 blood bags from 400 registered donors of TRADOC Officers, non-commissioned officers, students from the Officer Candidate School and Sustainment Center. Likewise, students from O’Donnell High School, currently having work immersion at different offices of the Headquarters Command also donated.

          Brigadier General Luis Rex D Bergante, Commander TRADOC heartily thanks the organizers and donors, behind the success of the bloodletting activity. “Let us continue this noble undertaking which not only benefits TRADOC, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, and the Philippine National Red Cross but helps our fellow Filipinos who are or will be in thy need of blood.” he emphasized in his message.

          Other partners for the event include the Philippine National Red Cross, National Headquarters, Red Cross Tarlac, and Red Cross Pampanga, a team from Victoriano Luna Medical Center also participated in the event as one team together with a common goal of providing the precious blood collected to the most deserving recipient.

          This effort will help increase the blood requirements of the different partner healthcare institutions and hospitals to sustain the needs of every Filipino. The Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army as the Source of Army Standards, continues to fulfill its commitment to serve the nation through this kind of selfless endeavor.

          Commanding General Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Romeo S Brawner fully supported the activity, through AC of S for CMO, G7, PA Colonel Victor M Llapitan who personally attended the activity.
