Camp O’Donnell Capas Tarlac - The Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, through the Army Human Rights Office, conducted a 5-day Philippine Army Training of Trainers (TOT) on International Humanitarian Law held on 27 February 2024.

          The training was participated by personnel from different Centers, Schools and Units of Philippine Army, aimed to deliver effective International Humanitarian Law (IHL) training programs to various Philippine Army units and personnel, by enhancing the knowledge of participants with regard to the principles and concepts of IHL.

          It also intends to build and to strengthen the capacity of trainers who will serve as a pool of trainers that will comprise the pool of the Philippine Army trainers, as well as to improve, sustain and adhere to the conduct of International Humanitarian Law within the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

          By understanding the significance and knowing the principles and concept of IHL, it only proves that the Philippine Army duly respects this mandate and thereby accepts the responsibility of ensuring that every soldier is an IHL defender.
