MAJOR GENERAL PETER ANGELO L RAMOS PA is the present Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army. He assumed his post on 14 August 2021.
Prior his assumption as the 57th Commander of TRADOC, MGEN RAMOS is the Assistant Division Commander of 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army. He also served as Commander of 501st and 1102 Infantry Brigade before he became the Assistant Division Commander of 11ID, which are based in Mindanao.
MGEN RAMOS, is a constant achiever and a proud member of PMA “Maringal” Class of 1988. He refined his skills and capabilities through various military and civilian schoolings, and graduated with flying colors. He graduated number 1 in Scout Ranger Course, Special Forces Operations Course, and Jumpmaster Course. He likewise graduated number 2 during his Infantry Officer Basic Course, Military Scuba Diving Course, and Infantry Officer Advance Course.
He spent his Platoon Leader and Company Commander years at 3IB, 6ID, PA from 1988 to 1991. He served more than 17 years with SOCOM, PA from Company Commander of 32nd and in the 9th SF Company, Staff Officer of 3rd SF Battalion, G3 of SFRA, and became the Battalion Commander of 1st and in the 3rd SF Battalion; eventually the Chief of Staff and Deputy Regiment Commander of SFRA. He also served as Senior Tactical Officer at the Philippine Military Academy.
He is married to Mrs. Carmina P Ramos who hails from Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, and blessed with five children: Genine Marie; Tam Marie; Carlo Jean; Clarence Justin; and Christian Joseph.
