The Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army conducted a simultaneous flag raising ceremony this morning as the start of yearly 18-day campaign in ending violence against women in observance of the Republic Act 10398 of 2013 declaring every 25th of November as “National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Children (VAWC)”. This activity is also in line with the Proclamation 1172 series of 2006 and DND Memorandum dated 25 September 2019 enjoining the Philippine Army and other government agencies/stakeholders to conduct anti-VAWC and gender-based violence (GBV) activities.
TRADOC Deputy Commander Brigadier General Rowen Tolentino also read CGPA’s message during flag raising ceremony for the observance of 18-day Campaign against VAW.
