CAPAS TARLAC,04 June 2019 – Today marks the start of the journey for the Candidate Soldier Course of classes 588, 589, 590 and 605-2019.

The new recruits took their oath and they were received on traditional
military rites at TRADOC Grandstand The 477 new Army aspirants will undergo Basic Military Training
at School for Candidate Soldier prior to the enlistment to the regular force. Major General Roy Devesa, TRADOC Commander,
graced the ceremony as the keynote Speaker. On his message, he said “The Basic Military Training (BMT)
is the transformation training of civilian into military. This probably will be the most difficult training
that you will undergo.

Being in the Army is an opportunity. All of you will develop love for the country
and sense of nationalism and eventually you will realize that you came here not just for the job.
It is by destiny that you are here, because you are destined to serve the country”.
